This a broad marketing opportunity is with a football club that is packed with prestige and history and is undergoing huge changes and redevelopment. This role will most likely combine your passion for football or sports in general and driving awareness through integrated campaigns.

The role:
You will be working in a highly creative marketing team, which employs some very talented people and to say their image & brand identity has been changed significantly over the past 2-3 years is an understatement. You’ll also work very closely with their events team, and an incredibly talented Head of Marketing who is totally hands-off and wants you to run your own projects & make your own decisions.
A fair proportion of the role will be to drive awareness for their hospitality and events arm, supporting with marketing campaigns, including acquisition and re-targeting campaigns, which are responsible for driving growth and awareness. You will also be involved in amplifying experiences their consumers are having, via online channels, ensuring social media platforms reflect the quality of the experience on the ground.
You will create engaging communication plans and create an engaging social media plan, capturing content for the website and social channels. You’ll also assist with production of marketing collateral, copy writing for the website, email, social and print and carrying out market research within the industry. You’ll also plan and execute email & data capture campaigns which is growing at an alarming rate. Your expertise in these areas will help enhance the club’s online presence, engage with fans and drive ticket sales and other off-field revenue-generating initiatives.
What we’re looking for

People learn in different ways so your experience can span, anything from 1-2 years which can have been gained in a marketing or agency environment.
A perfect role for someone with a real energy & buzz about them, ideally with an interest in the world of sports and entertainment and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of developing awareness and engagement through the most common marketing channels. We’re looking for a good communicator and someone that can contribute to social, content platforms, and get a real kick out of seeing results that increase followings and goodwill on a local and regional basis.
Exposure to running events and how to capture this through relevant social channels would be very handy on this one and of equal importance is a persona and character that thrives in a collaborative, passionate and caring environment. Attitude & temperament is key in this role – the club & brand has changed significantly & they believe heavily in their marketing & for this reason, you’ll want to muck in & need a sound understanding of how to make the best use of creativity, social & digital technology, and wider marketing channels to deliver communications that provide the most value to this brand.
