Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for an NDT Technician within the Plating and NDT department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.

This NDT technician position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role you will handle all of the various aspects of the Non-Destructive Testing process including, Dye Penetrant Process, Magnetic Particle inspection, Ultra sonic testing and Barkhausen noise testing.

Role Responsibilities will include:

• Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and overhaul manuals
• Ability to undertake material handling to include slings and jigs
• Ability to complete work in a manner that satisfies Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Day to day tasks within the NDT department.

Skills and Experience required:

• Worked within a Plating Shop or NDT department environment (desirable but not essential).
• Have a basic understanding of Boeing SOPM, or similar.
• Experience of working in a JAA 145 and/or 14 CFR part 145 environment is preferable but not mandatory as training will be given.
• Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
• Related training by the IMF to basic or higher level, or similar desirable.

Shifts - 4 on 4 off so weekend availability is required.
