Come and join our friendly Hampshire County Supplies Logistics team


We are Winchester based and our main duties include the preparation and delivery of stock and internal mail to our customers across the County and beyond. In County Supplies we work towards reducing purchasing costs for public organisations all over Hampshire. We supply schools, colleges, libraries, police stations, fire stations and a wide range of non-profit groups with all of the consumables that they need in order to operate day-to-day.

Our drivers are the ‘front line’ ambassadors of HCC in regular contact with the majority of our customers and the general public and it is essential that they present a professional, courteous, smart and friendly image. During the average working day, drivers spend a large proportion of their time in a lone working environment. They also use their contact with existing customers and potential new customers to promote the services we have available.


This may involve some warehouse work. The hours are 37 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays and there is no weekend or Bank Holiday work. There are 24 days paid leave per annum.


The successful applicant will ideally have some multi-drop experience but full training will be give, A full, clean driving licence is essential. Due to the nature of some materials conveyed a Non-Police Personnel Vetting check will be sought.

 

The salary range is £23,115 - £24,140 per annum (£11.98 - £12.51 per hour) with a further pay award pending and overtime is worked throughout the year.
