SEN Teaching Assistant

Remedy are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with individual students or small groups, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs.
- Implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs) to support students with diverse learning requirements.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt lesson plans and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
- Provide dedicated support to students with special needs during class time.
- Foster a nurturing and encouraging relationship to enhance the student's learning experience.
- Assist in the assessment of student's academic progress and social development.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Attend team meetings and contribute insights to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a SEN setting, is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient and empathetic attitude towards students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions from teaching staff.
