SEN Teaching Assistant

Mansfield

£450 per week

Connex Education is currently working with several SEN schools within Mansfield and surrounding areas. The specific Alternative Provision school in question are recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis in the Mansfield base.

The school itself provides an inclusive, engaging learning environment for children between the ages of 11 and 18 years old, with a key focus of increasing opportunities for all people with disabilities. The school prides itself on being an OFSTED rated ''Outstanding'' school and has asked for passionate and dedicated individuals to join and continue the high-quality education and support that is already provided.

As a successful SEN Teaching Assistant you will have experience working in a care or education background, you will be able to start promptly and work between the hours of 9.00am-4:30pm. This is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity, for the right candidate it has the potential to extend to the rest of the academic year. However, we are aware that these hours may not suit everyone, Connex Education and the school are happy to discuss this at interview.

Person Specification

• Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs either in a School or a similar setting
• Strive for excellence and go the extra mile!
• Be willing to provide personal care
• Be confident in working with challenging behaviour
• Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
