FP&A Analyst
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Hybrid - Newmarket - 2-days on-site, 2-days WFH
Hours: 32 hours across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Product: Group level, Wonde, Evouchers & Secure Schools

Job snapshot:
As our Financial Planning & Analysis analyst, you will play an important role in shaping the financial future of the group. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop budgets, forecasts and financial models that guide strategic decision-making.
This is a newly created position where you will be provided with a genuine opportunity to create impact and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop models, budgets and periodic forecasts
- Lead the creation of periodic forecasts, incorporating updated market trends, economic factors, and operational data
- Design and generate detailed financial reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance for different stakeholders
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models that assess various scenarios, enabling agile decision-making
- Work closely with leadership to evaluate the financial implications of proposed initiatives and investments
- Comparison of actual business performance to internal forecasts and agreed key performance indicators
- Implement automated reporting solutions to streamline processes and enhance reporting efficiency
- Continuously evaluate and enhance forecasting methodologies, incorporating industry best practices.
- Develop and implement tools and processes to enhance forecast accuracy and reliability
- Collaborate with other finance functions, such as accounting and treasury, to ensure seamless financial operations
- Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests, supporting special projects as needed
Requirements
What we’re hoping you’ll bring:
- Demonstrable experience in a financial planning and analysis role
- ACA/ACCA qualified (desirable)
- Proven ability to analyse business processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work with high volumes of data
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Ambition and initiative to drive change in an evolving sector
- Self-motivation with the confidence and enthusiasm to take the initiative and get things done
- Ability to prioritise workflow and ensure deadlines are met
- The willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment
