Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Sustainability to join our team.

KCHFT operate from a vast number of sites across Kent, parts of East Sussex and London. The Estates & Facilities department aims to deliver a quality service across a range of duties. Applied correctly, EFM 
is about much more than the management of buildings and services – it is critical to the successful functioning of every organisation which occupies property or manages infrastructure that supports our society.

The post holder will drive and be part of permanent cultural change in our organisation. The Sustainability Programme Lead is responsible for devising and delivering the Trust’s sustainability programme incorporating a number of sustainability projects designed to transform the way KCHFT works and interacts, fundamentally setting sustainability at the heart of the Trust. 

Main duties of the job

As Head of Sustainability you will develop and maintain highly complex communication s networks effective externally and internally to 
the organisation. This will regularly involve explaining competing priorities, high level negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to identify and agree solutions to highly contentious and politically sensitive issues.

You will will have extremely high standards of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex data in a clear manner. You will need to have the ability to give presentations to a range of stakeholders.

In addition, you will make high profile and complex decisions through weighing up sometimes contradictory information which may be highly technical, financial or political. This will require analysis, interpretation and generation of options which would require in depth consideration.
