Job description


We have an exciting opportunity for an accredited CBT therapist to join our Perinatal Community Mental Health Team inRotherham. In line with the long term plan (LTP,) we are committed to increasing access to evidence-based psychological therapies, to include a broad range of therapies including individual, parent-infant, couple, co-parenting and family interventions to support a whole family approach. You will therefore be joining a growing and enthusiastic team comprising of Clinical Psychologists and a Parent Infant Psychotherapist. Successful applicantwill be an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, with a passion for working in a multidisciplinary service and a specialist interest in supporting people with moderate to severe perinatal mental health difficulties.
• To provide specialist CBT assessments and therapy within the perinatal service, at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to other colleagues and non professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
• To provide clinical supervision to less experienced therapists or other professionals.
• The post holder will contribute to the responsibility for the allocation of clinical work within their own team.
• To develop and maintain effective working relationships within the multi-disciplinary team
• To contribute to training and service improvements while continuing to develop specific skills appropriate for the service area.
• To take sole professional responsibility and exercise autonomous professional and clinical judgement within the overall framework of Trust .
• To receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with good practice.
