The Planning and Materials Analyst will assist the planning and purchasing team to maintain a consistent operational material flow from supplier to customer. A successful Planning and Materials Analyst is self-motivated and a natural trouble-shooter who is able to react quickly under pressure, prioritize and manage several tasks concurrently.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Provide expert support in ERP system within demand planning and operations
- Design, create and maintain BI reports that support internal sales, materials, planning and operational objectives. Work cross-functionally to ensure effectivity of reports and global process alignment
- SI&OP. Collate weekly SI&OP schedule and assist with monthly SI&OP presentation
- Material Planning. Interface with Receiving, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Scheduling to facilitate continuity of supply and ensure production schedules are met. Review and maintain established safety stock levels.
- Demand Planning. Analyse customer schedules involving assessing various aspects to optimise and enhance customer experience. Enter customer forecast into the business system Master Production Scheduling module to reduce lead times to customers and provide critical information to the supply chain.
- Risk Assess. Identify potential customer expectation risks and provide internal recommendations to mitigate them
- Support Materials Team. Provide support to Shipping and Receiving functions as required
- Support Continuous Improvement Initiatives. Implement longer term initiatives and projects for continuous improvement related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability.
- Process Mapping. Document and model current and future business processes to identify areas for improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Operations/Supply Chain degree or experience preferred.
- Relevant experience in a repetitive manufacturing environment with a working knowledge of MRP/ERP is desired
- CPIM or CPM, desirable.
- Exhibit good judgment, common sense, leadership and decision making skills and abilities.
- Must be flexible and able to handle multiple and varied tasks.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with other functional areas as follows: Design, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Production.
- Effective trouble shooting, problem solving and organizational skills. Adaptable – able to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines and handle conflict in an effective manner.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products. Accurate typing/computer data entry with above average attention to detail.
