Job Title: Audit and Accounts Senior
Location: Loughborough
Up to £40,000 DOE

They are seeking a talented and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join the team at the Loughborough office. The ideal candidate will possess strong audit skills, UK GAAP expertise, particularly in FRS102, and a passion for delivering high-quality service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Audits: Take charge of leading audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Provide guidance and supervision to audit team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor, offering valuable insights and recommendations to support their financial objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in UK GAAP, including FRS102, and stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations. Apply technical knowledge effectively in audit engagements and other financial assignments.
- Mixed Role Responsibilities: Embrace the opportunity to diversify responsibilities by allocating 30-50% of time to audit-related tasks and the remainder to year-end accounts preparation and corporate tax work for smaller entities. This mixed role offers a dynamic and varied workload, allowing for continuous learning and professional development.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across departments, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team performance. Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their growth and development within the firm.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with significant experience in audit and accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP, particularly FRS102, and familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Proven track record of leading audit engagements and managing client relationships effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
