Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a person to join one of the UK’s leading distributors of promotional, school, sport and corporate clothing to the print and embroidery trade as a Sales Administrator. We are seeking a person to join a busy, dynamic team to support our client’s quest in exceeding their customer’s service and company sales expectations.
You will be a strong team player who is motivated by providing excellent stakeholder service. You will also have the ability to work well under pressure and be a strong multi-tasker. You will have good numerical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive “can do” attitude, be enthusiastic and have strong attention to detail.
Salary: Up to £25,000
The Role
- Respond to incoming telephone calls – first point of contact for incoming calls
- Up-date and maintain the Sage Line 50 system after customer calls
- Using Sage Line 50, manage the order process to despatch aligned to the company credit control policy
- Processing card payments, authorising order release to the warehouse team
- Logistics – daily tracking of customer deliveries via the specific carrier, DPD etc. Responding to daily DPD up-dates then managing the customer’s delivery expectations effectively using the appropriate communication channels
- Logistics – 2nd checking across stock documents
- Maintaining the back-order file, informing customers on new product stock positions, releasing back-orders
- Record, manage, authorise and respond to requests from clients regarding ‘returns’
- Liaising and managing client order expectations to the warehouse team
- General administration duties, post, filing, issuing catalogues
- Any other company duties to meet the expectations of clients aligned to company objectives
The Person
- Confident interpersonal communication and excellent listening skills
- The ability to support clients with great customer service skills and attitude
- Able to promote, advise and sell products using a professional telephone technique
- Excellent organisational, administration skills, specifically accurate data entry skills
- Experience of constantly managing and up-dating the Sage Line 50 system
- Competent IT user with excellent keyboard skills, specifically excel
- Ability to work effectively without supervision plus as an integrated team player
- Problem solving skills with the ability to take ownership of a request until successful outcome
- A confident approach to credit control issues, asking for card payments prior to despatch or asking clients for prompt payments within company policy credit terms
