Job description
We have a spacious, modern setting located Barking, Essex which is seeking an experienced level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner. Only a short walk from the underground and railway station, there is also a bustling range of shops and cafes on hand.
As a Nursery Practitioner you will support high quality childcare and education, helping to deliver a fun filled and imaginative curriculum to the children. This nursery places a strong emphasis on creating a nurturing and family-focused environment, fostering a community-oriented atmosphere where their teams support one another. There is lots for the children to engage with, including getting active with sports, storytelling sessions, science, and baking with their onsite chef.

Responsibilities: - The Nursery Practitioner ensures that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery ensuring the children enjoy a rich experience in a safe and nurturing environment
- Promote and facilitate strong and communicative relationships with parents, carers and other family members
- Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas of improvement and tailoring teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain a culture of self-evaluation and self-development to promote continuous learning
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Level 3 or above recognised childcare qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation of knowledge in early childhood education and development.
- Experience working with children in a nursery setting
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, their families, and other staff members effectively
- The ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that stimulate children's cognitive, physical, and social development
- Knowledge of paediatric health, safety, and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being and security of children in the nursery
- A positive and enthusiastic outlook on working with children, fostering a warm and engaging atmosphere within the nursery
