What you will do in your working day

During this 18 month apprenticeship, you will gain the required skills and knowledge to ensure potential problems are identified across our critical assets before they become critical failures and therefore maximise the availability, performance and reliability of our assets in a cost effective manner.

The Precision Maintenance Engineer is seen as the subject matter expert in predictive maintenance techniques in the field, and as such is capable of and available to assist maintenance colleagues in data collection techniques and technology to aid diagnosis.

During your apprenticeship you'll learn to:

• Undertake condition monitoring tasks on critical equipment
• Carry out minor remedial work on assets e.g. Laser Alignment
• Undertake online monitoring of asset base through performance management platforms
• Undertake commissioning activities to ensure assets are received into our asset base appropriately and within tolerances
• Lead fault diagnosis on bad actor assets and support root cause fault analysis sessions

The training you will be getting

• Successful apprentices will achieve Engineering Operative level 2 which is endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships
• Training will be Apprentice workplace and Day Release
