Salary: £28,500 - £32,000 (FTE) Pro rata, Per annum, depending on experience

Location: Hybrid/Camden, London (Flexible)

Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: 21 hours per week

Variety, the Children’s Charity exists to improve the lives of these children. We do this through funding and delivering our life-changing programmes that enhance the quality of life and give children and young people across the UK a better future.

These programmes include:

• Our famous Variety Sunshine Coaches; providing transport to schools and non-profit organisations who work with disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the UK, extending learning opportunities outside of the classroom and enriching lives through social experiences.
• Our Wheelchair and Specialist Equipment Grant Programmes provide practical and tangible solutions to make an immediate difference to the lives of children and young people throughout the UK.
• Variety’s Great Days Out Programme aims to ensure every child has equal access to enriching and inspiring activities that foster confidence, joy, and personal growth, all while seamlessly integrating with the curriculum and education system. Through the Great Days Out Programme every child will have access to opportunities that build learning and development into fun experiences.

At the heart of Variety sits our small but mighty Programmes Team. This dynamic and passionate team help to ensure that the money raised from Variety’s great fundraising efforts is handled with care and distributed fairly to those who need it most. The Variety Grants Programme Officer role will be integral to the delivery and development of our grant-giving programmes, particularly our Individual Equipment Grants Programme. The postholder will work to ensure that we provide a user-centred service that is efficient and seamless. We want to ensure that our applicants receive unparalleled support throughout each step of the process.

We are looking for a dedicated, efficient, multi-skilled and passionate individual, who has the skills, enthusiasm and ability to support and improve our Sunshine Coach Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious and passionate children’s charity and play a pivotal role in helping the charity grow its services for children and young people across the UK.
