Job description


We are offering an excellent opportunity for a senior clinical pharmacist to continue to develop our service to a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a purpose built Women and Children’s Development at Royal Oldham Hospital.

This appointment will offer you a fantastic opportunity to experience many aspects of neonatal services and to work in a nurturing and dedicated team with excellent training opportunities. Our pharmacy team has a wealth of clinical knowledge in a wide range of clinical specialities.

We are looking for a Pharmacist with a commitment to improving clinical pharmacy services,patient safety and medicines expenditure through innovation and integration with pharmacy, medical, nursing and management staff.

As the Senior Clinical Pharmacist for Neonates,you will be responsible for the management and provision of clinical pharmacy services to our Level 3 Neonatal Unit at Royal Oldham Hospital and support implementation and compliance with medicines management policies within the speciality.The unit consists of 9 ICU beds, 9 HDU beds and 18 special care cots.

You will be responsible for supervising the activity and training of supporting pharmacists,pre-registration trainee pharmacists and technical staff providing an opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills.
