Performance Test Engineer – Chorley
Perl, Python, PowerShell, SQL, Java, jMeter, Windows Systems
This highly successful organisation are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to join an established software development team. The successful Performance Test Engineer will be joining a team of developers and testers working to establish robust applications. You will create repeatable test frameworks to ensure applications are future proofed for changes.
Skills & Responsibilities Performance Test Engineer:
- Identify and document performance test requirements
- Providing improvements and adopting performance test frameworks ideally using jMeter
- Providing software and scripts to enhance and automate the performance engineering capability
- Performing non-functional testing and providing advice on software and hardware configuration
- Ensure systems and applications are future-proofed and scalable
Job Requirements
- High level scripting/programming languages (Perl, Python, PowerShell etc)
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server or MySQL databases
- Experience working on Windows Systems
- Good knowledge of Java JVM characteristics
- Experience of Windows monitoring & familiarity with communication protocols
Desirable Skills
- Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira)
- Database tuning/config
