Job description

Larne Community Care Centre (LCCC) is a community organisation based in Larne. We offer support to families throughout Larne and help individuals both young and old who are at risk within our community.

Job Title:  Centre Manager
Location:  LCCC, Doric Way, Larne
Responsible To:  LCCC Management Committee
Hours: 35 per week
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: Immediate
Salary: £27,000-£33,000    

Scope

The Centre Manager will be responsible for the strategic operations of Larne Community Care Centre,

This is a dual role position, you will be providing 20 hours each week of housing support to service users of Larne Crisis Accommodation, and 15 hours per week as centre manager working with the senior management team to ensure the effective running of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

Housing support

Carry a caseload of key-working clients and continually review and update each client’s support plan.

Work with clients to draft and implement realistic and achievable support plans and risk assessments, ensuring each client receives a personalised holistic, wrap-around, and strength-based package of support that meets their needs.

Support service users to gain and maintain a tenancy and meet occupancy obligations

To ensure that housing vacancies are promptly let

Development and Organisational Support

Collaborate with the Senior Management Team and board in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs

Set actionable goals for performance and growth

Oversee company operations, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes are met

Lead and support the senior management team

You will take overall responsibility for the effective organisational management and performance, and the financial health of the organisation, ensuring strong income generation plans are in place

Adhere to company procedures, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary

Grow our impact substantially

Ability to represent and promote the organisation

Monitor performance and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecast.

To develop fundraising strategies and ensure completion of funding applications.

To effectively and appropriately develop LCCCs strategy and annual operational plans in conjunction with LCCC committee and staff

Ensure the organisation complies with all necessary legislation

To observe all Health & Safety requirements and report any breeches, near misses or potential breaches in line with the organisations policy and procedures

To attend all LCCC Management Committee meetings and present structured, written progress reports

To provide support and direction in the organisation of LCCC events as appropriate

To assist in the identification of training and development needs of the organisation

To monitor the organisations spend and ensure budgets are adhered to

To complete all relevant monitoring forms and maintain records of the programme as required by the funders

Ensuring confidentiality and data protection practice.

To actively promote the services of LCCC across its main target groups

Ensure all complaints are logged and managed in line with policy and procedure

 

Information Sharing, Networking and Communication

Ensure all clients information is kept confidential and in line with GDPR and Data Protection requirements

Attend seminars, workshops or conferences that are in the interests of developing LCCCs work

Create and maintain good working relations with members of the community, voluntary and statutory sectors and local government

Ensure the effective flow of information across LCCC

To work as an active and integral part of the LCCC team

To provide support to senior staff in projects for which they are responsible

To manage and prioritise own workload and be able to work under pressure

To undertake such other duties as may be required

Essential criteria:

A relevant occupational qualification in social work

Registered (or willing to register) with NISCC

Full UK Driving Licence

Knowledge of support plans to include needs and risk assessments

Knowledge of the issues affecting homeless people

Good Communication skills

Flexibility in work patterns and schedule

Ability to obtain a Satisfactory Access NI check
