You’ll be supported every step of the way, by your line manager and mentor.
In this exciting role, you and your team will be customer facing and responsible for collecting samples from customer’s properties for analysis at our laboratories. You will learn about quality control including equipment calibration and proficiency testing and will also be responsible for maintenance checks.
Your focus in this role will be to provide a high-quality service to customers. Your actions will influence the customer experience and their satisfaction with Severn Trent. Whilst making sure you provide services in line with the organisation’s customer service standards and strategy and within appropriate regulatory requirements. You will also be sampling at service reservoirs, and water treatment works each day.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
As you will be required to travel to various sites, you will need to have a full UK Driving licence & access to your own vehicle when starting your apprenticeship, with 18-months driving experience
You will need to be 18 by the time you start this role (for insurance purposes).
Within our Water, Quality and Environment team you will complete the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship standard, allowing you to develop the skills & experience required to become an expert. You’ll combine on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training. A Personal Development Plan will help drive your career progression, set, agreed & regularly reviewed with your line manager.
Functional skills in maths and English (if required).
By the end of this programme, you will take up a role as a quality technician, where you will be able to put your skills to action.
Availability for roles across the region, we operate from six bases. There is a requirement to work a shift pattern, involving critical shifts and standby.
