Role Overview

ABD Solutions require additional support in implementing these perception tests within their digital simulation environment. This is to accelerate the delivery of a robust system into market.

This role is primarily creating scenarios within our rfPro digital simulation, containing variations of traffic, weather, lighting, and objects. A simulated test vehicle interacts with these actors to evaluate the perception of these objects and the control response. These tests are then repeated with minor scenario variations.

What will you be doing?

• Write scripts to configure the digital simulation environment, including traffic simulation, weather conditions, lighting and other interacting object.
• Write test scripts which execute a scenario within the above environment.
• Execute test scripts on LIDAR, Camera, and Radar simulated sensors.
• Devise acceptance test algorithms.
• Write scripts to generate test reports, including RAG test status.
• Prove simulation correspondence to real-world entities by replaying a subset of the above perception tests on our test site using real-world objects.

What are we looking for?

• Experienced python programmer.
• Proven experience in developing test scripts for automated system testing.
• Demonstratable working knowledge of integrating complex toolchains.
• Good understanding of physics and optics.
• Practical experience of real-world driving hazards and factors that limit hazard perception.
