Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in DC/Logistics thinking about a new start in 2024?

My client is a leader in technical construction, delivering projects in the UK, Ireland, Mainland Europe and USA. Specialising in Advanced Manufacturing, Data Centres, Food, Logistics and Pharmaceuticals, they have expanded over the past 20 years to be a multi-million pound turnover company. They design, build and deliver top quality commercial and manufacturing facilities, which are tailored to the needs of their clients. The team has deep sector-specific knowledge of what it takes to make these turnkey projects a success.

Duties include but are not limited to

* Be fully conversant with, and use, company specific commercial procedures and standard templates throughout all aspects of your day to day duties.

* Take commercial ownership for new projects as required once allocated to a particular team and be involved in the handover process for new projects from the Pre-Construction department

* Work with the project team to ensure targets set within the cost clinics are realised or bettered.

* Work closely with the commercial management team to oversee the projects overall costs and the development of the team.

* Manage your own workload, taking subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final accounts.

* Contract administration.

* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.

* Agreeing final accounts for subcontractors.

* Acting as a mentor to junior surveyors on the team.

* Providing the operations team with commercial advice and guidance.
