PERMANENT: 37 Hours per week
SALARY: £26,421 to £28,770
LOCATION: Tiverton

We are looking to expand our already successful Building Services Team by recruiting an enthusiastic Skilled Mason. The post holder will be working as part of our Building Services Team delivering works to our Housing Stock.

Work will be varied comprising of general masonry tasks, plastering, tiling, concreting, access ramps, roofing, brickwork, blockwork, sheet roofing and some aspects of other trades work as necessary. The successful candidate may specialise in one of these skills, ideally plastering or roofing, as long as you are willing to learn other elements of the trade.

For this post you must have an NVQ in Maintenance, Plastering or Construction Skills (or equivalent) and have at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant industry. If you do not have the above mentioned qualification, but feel that you have the necessary experience, please do still get in touch.

It is essential that the post holder is both confident and self-motivated at all times with excellent customer communication skills.

The hours of work will be 37 per week with a degree of flexibility and on occasions there may be a requirement to work on Saturdays. The successful candidate may also be required to be part of the out of hour’s emergency service.
