We have a brilliant opportunity for a Library Supervisor to join us!

This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £26,575 - £30,261 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Library Supervisor to join our Library and Resident Contact (Face to Face) team.

The Role:

Reporting to the Team Leader: Operations, Partnerships and Community Development you will have a key role in the supervisor team focusing on Community Information and Partnerships. Initially you will be based at Maidenhead Library with responsibilities for Library Community Information and partnerships across the whole Borough, working closely with the operational and specialist teams, in particular the Community Development Officer.

Your role will involve:

Supervising a team of staff to deliver excellent customer service
Developing community information services and partnerships and ensuring community and council enquiries are dealt with effectively
Facilitating the use of library spaces by volunteers, charities and other organisations to deliver support services while generating income
Managing library buildings

What we are looking for:

A customer-focused and person-centred approach
An ability to form strong partnerships with community groups, charities and other organisations that meet the priorities of the organisation while generating additional income
Love of books and reading and people with an understanding of the value of the public library service to communities and individuals
Excellent digital skills and the ability to show people how to use a variety of digital devices
You will need to be able to work at any location in the Borough and to do physical work such as carrying boxes of books, pushing loaded book trolleys and being on your feet walking between floors and across the library for extended periods of time
