Medical Administrator – Private Practice - Harrow
Full Time – Permanent – Office Based position- £20,000-£24,000 PA based on experience.
CANDIDATES WITHOUT HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONTACTED
We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our office-based team and to provide a comprehensive administrative service to a number of private consultants. The ideal candidate will have recently worked within a healthcare setting (Private or NHS) and will be organised, proactive, highly motivated, personable, adaptable and IT literate. Experience working in Allergy, General Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Neurodevelopment, Enuresis and Dermatology and experience using DGL Practice Manager would be a big plus.
Role:
* To provide a comprehensive medical administrative service:-
* Expediting patient medical reports in a timely manor
* Maintain and file accurate patient records.
* Managing face to face and remote patient consultation appointments.
* Assist the team with the management of Allergy Immunotherapy Programme
* Ensuring referral letters are processed, new patient records created and initial email contact made.
* Sending out Clinic lists and ensuring relevant departments, receive a copy.
* Scanning of patient documents/clinical notes.
* Effectively and sensitively dealing with patient enquiries.
* Assisting with all other duties within the office as required on a daily basis
* Strictly adhere to current GDPR practices and patient confidentiality
* To support the team in all administrative functions as directed by the Practice Manager
Key Skills Required:
* Experience of managing diaries and schedules
* Medical terminology would be an advantage
* Excellent typing skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Professional and caring telephone manner
* Have a friendly and positive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience of DGL Practice Manager would be an advantage
