Job description

Our client is a small animal practice in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire. They are looking to grow the team and would like Registered Veterinary Nurses to join them on a full-time & part time basis.

Each morning the clinical team attends ward round that last approximately 15 minutes. The theatre nurse for the shift often leads the meeting by introducing each patient and procedure and then discussing who will be performing the procedure, who will be assisting them, when this procedure will likely take place and what medications/ pre-meds will be required. This forms the plan of the day for the team.

These roles may include the exciting opportunity for some sole charge responsibilities. These include taking charge of stock levels, daily running and promoting growth of the branch.

The Role

• Veterinary Nurse full and part-time position fix or flex your work patterns
• The rota is over 15 weeks with 2 full weekends (Saturday 8am 6pm, Sunday 9am 5pm) and 1 half weekend (Saturday 8am 4pm)
• When you work a full weekend, you get the following Friday off in lieu and if you work a half weekend you get a half-day on the following Friday
• No OOHs

Salary and Benefits

• The salary is up to £33,000 pro rata depending on experience
• Welcome bonus of £1000
• Relocation allowance of £2,000
• 6.6 weeks annual leave
• Increasing holiday allowance based on length of service
