Your new role

As a Automation Engineer you will perform automation engineering activities and manage aligned prioritised projects.
Lifecycle management of automation systems integrated with manufacturing / packaging equipment. 
Lifecycle management of serialisation and vision systems integrated within packaging equipment including interfaces with enterprise systems. 
Responsible for providing cGMP compliant control systems as per GAMP5 and EU GMP Annex 11.

What are we looking for?

Essential - 

• Practical experience working within manufacturing and packaging environments
• Experience of the automation project lifecycle including design, configuration, implementation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and validation
• Practical experience working with robotics and/or automated goods vehicles

Desirable - 

• Practical experience working on manufacturing execution systems (MES)
• OT Cybersecurity knowledge
• Experience working with edge computing / IIoT
• Practical experience working within the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience of serialisation / vision systems and interfaces to enterprise systems
• Practical experience working with Siemens PLCs and HMI software
• Experience of working with SQL databases / Historians
• Degree (or HNC/HND) qualification in engineering, computer science, automation, or related engineering discipline
• EngTech / IEng / CEng or working towards professional status
• Professional membership (i.e. BCS, IET, ISPE) 
• Project management certification (i.e. CAPM / PMP)
