Projects Engineer (4-5 years experience)
This role is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer, with 4-5 years’ experience in the civil engineering groundworks or heavy civils industry, to join an established, profitable and growing company that offers the potential for unlimited development and progression. This company works throughout the UK principally on exciting coastal marine civil engineering projects up to £7m in value. Engineers typically take on a site management role alongside maintaining site quality systems and records.
This role will provide a diverse and challenging opportunity for a competent and ambitious Engineer.
Your responsibilities will be:
Managing the site on a daily basis and liaising with the Contracts Manager
Providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered on site
Liaising with the Client and ensuring any queries are dealt with in the correct manner according to the Contract
Responsible for ensuring setting out is completed within tolerance
Assisting in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials by maintaining quality records
Completing daily briefings and ensuring the site team understand the works
Assisting in the preparation of site documentation (including risk assessments, method statements, construction phase plans) for briefing and distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for a comprehensive understanding
Communicating effectively with the commercial team to ensure the project is profitable and completed within the intended time-frame
Mentoring and supervising junior Engineers
The required skills and qualifications are:
Related Civil Engineering Degree, HND or equivalent At least 4 years experience in a similar role
Excellent work ethic CSCS Card
Committed to working all over the Country Driving Licence
Additional preferred skills and qualifications are:
SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
Working knowledge of NEC forms of Contract
