Job description
Step Teachers is looking for a Year 6 Class Teacher to join a mainstream, Catholic primary school in Barnet, due to commence in February 2024. This role is suitable for a Class Teacher passionate about setting the foundations for their students to go on and become lifelong learners.
This Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school with the central aim being to allowing every student to reach their full potential in a happy and healthy learning environment. Working in a 3-form primary school, allows the successful Class Teacher to learn from their fellow and experienced Class Teachers and provide an enriching curriculum.
As a Year 6 Class Teacher, your duties will include:
Strong knowledge of the curriculum at Key Stage 2
Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school
Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
Able to plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons
Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively
Requirements of a Year 6 Class Teacher:
Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching in a Primary School
Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
Experience working with SEND is desirable
