Trading as emap for its B2B division, Metropolis International is a fast-growing business, privately owned Media Group with over £50m of annual revenue, structured in two divisions – consumer media, and business-to-business media. In both parts of the business, we run print magazines, digital content and both face-to-face and virtual awards, conferences, and other events. Metropolis is actively looking at acquiring more media businesses. We employ over 480 people in offices in West London, Croydon, Fleet street, Devon and Dublin.

Packaging News Is at the heart of the UK packaging supply chain, offering news, expert analysis and insight on every aspect of the packaging supply chain, from brands and retailers through to design agencies, suppliers of glass, metal, plastic, corrugated and carton board packaging, label printers, contract packers and waste management businesses.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to cover a maternity leave period, overseeing the marketing strategy for our prestigious Environmental Packaging Live (Summit and Awards) and the UK Packaging Awards, as well as other related Packaging News initiatives (webinars, podcasts, and other brand communications)

This Marketing Manager – Maternity Cover maternity offers a chance for a talented marketing manager to take on challenging and impactful projects and contribute to the success of well-known events and brands, all while enjoying the benefits of a supportive and innovative work environment, as part of a team of 5 marketers.

This position is ideal for an experienced and dynamic marketing professional with a proven track record in developing and executing successful event marketing strategies. The candidate should possess strong project management skills, creative thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (events, brand sales, publishers, editors) will be crucial to drive impact.

This exciting position is a full-time hybrid role. 2 days in the office, 3 days from home. This could change over time depending on business needs.
