LEAD PRACTITIONER: FOOD AND NUTRITION

PAY: Lead Practitioner Scale LP3

(FULL TIME, PERMANENT)

REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2024

We are looking for skilled classroom practitioner who is discerning in their practice and motivated by teaching students in an effective way that develops students’ competence and confidence in Food and Nutrition. Bringing together the core characteristics of being professionally curious and constructively discontent, the ideal candidate for Lead Practitioner of Food and Nutrition will:

• be a talented classroom teacher with a record of excellent student outcomes over recent years
• model excellent practice, sharing their skills with the Food team
• have been successful in influencing and improving teaching and learning in Food to ensure excellent progress
• be evidence-informed in their practice and understanding of curriculum and pedagogy regarding Food and be interested in undertaking research into best practice
• be adept at supporting colleagues to become more effective teachers
• support the Curriculum Leader in the vision for the department.
