Job description
Aspire people are currently recruiting for supply teachers for the new academic year 2023-2024 to provide cover in Secondary schools across Telford and the surrounding areas. We are hoping to recruit passionate, dedicated, and professional supply teachers across Telford to help support the extremely high demand of supply currently across the education sector.
We are looking for versatile supply teachers who can be available for cover work from Monday to Friday and teach various subjects (general cover) across the different year groups in secondary and happy to travel to different schools.
The candidates we have here at Aspire are happy, feel valued and supported throughout their time on supply whether they're working one day a week, 5 days a week or in a long term role.
The ideal candidate for this role should be:
* Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary Education (NQTs/ECT are welcome to apply)
* Hard working and be willing to 'go the extra mile' with both colleagues and pupils
* Experienced within a secondary school setting or working with secondary students
* Be able to provide checkable references from previous employers
* Able to offer a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a DBS
Supply work is a great opportunity to build relationships with local schools and build new relationships within the area in the education sector, therefore meaning there could be potential for a long-term role in the future.
Aspire work with a large proportion of the secondary schools in and around Telford and the surrounding areas and are hoping to secure local staff that can meet the high demands of supply without having to travel too far from home.
We have a generous Recommend a Friend scheme whereby if you introduce other teachers to Aspire, once they have worked 20 days, you will receive a fee of £250 (this is either in vouchers or cash) and £100 for TA's or non-teaching staff.
You will have a dedicated consultant who is available 7 days a week to discuss work opportunities who will give you any support you may need throughout your supply journey with us.
