A Vacancy at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
The Deputy Chief Nurse will be required to deputise across the full range of CNMO responsibilities. The postholder will also hold delegated accountability for safe staffing and nursing, midwifery and AHP workforce retention, recruitment and development across the Trust. They will lead on the development of the Nursing and Midwifery Ambitions and Strategy and be the lead for advanced practice, non-medical prescribing, research and innovation and other key aspects of the CNMO portfolio, also linking with a number of external stakeholders. They will hold the regulatory portfolios for the NMC and HCPC and for professional standards including ward accreditation, harm free care and fundamentals of care. They will provide direct support to the Care Group Directors of Nursing/Associate Directors of Nursing as required by the CNMO.
