Job description
We are seeking a new Treasurer to join our dynamic board of trustees.
Salcare are a community charity who have a number of live projects focused on Domestic Abuse and poverty in Derbyshire.
What will you be doing?The organisation is in transition to becoming a larger charity, including diversifying into related Family focused projects that support our main delivery.
We're looking for someone who has experience of steering a small to medium charity, ideally with some lived experience of domestic abuse or an in depth knowledge of the sector/area.
What are we looking for?Financial qualifications and experience
Some experience of charity finance, fundraising and pension schemes
The skills to analyse proposals and examine their financial consequences
Being prepared to make unpopular recommendations to the board
A willingness to be available to senior staff for advice and enquiries on an ad hoc basis
As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to help create safer & stronger communities, where families, who are moving away from poverty and abuse, feel empowered to build a new future.
