Job description


An exciting new opportunity has arisen on HAPI for a Band 6 Nurse to join our growing team. HAPI works closely with A&E and local GP surgeries to provide patient care. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Nurse willing to learn and develop there skills in these specialties. This is an ideal opportunity for a Nurse who would like to further gain experience in this specialised area. There will be opportunities to attend training courses and you will have the support of highly experienced Specialist Nurses who will help to develop your role. Applicants should be flexible, efficient and caring with a well organised and professional, friendly manner. You should be able to work autonomously and have a willingness to learn and expand your skill set.

• To co-ordinate and supervise the day to day delivery of care for patients attending the Hands and Plastics Injuries service.
• To provide clinical leadership and co-ordinate the daily activity within the clinic.
• To promote the effective use of clinic & theatre resources.
• To manage patient scheduling and communication.
• To confidently use the online acute referrals service (OARS) and action the outcomes.
• Act as a role model for effective care delivery.
