RTA Solicitor / Litigation Executive

Job description
Themis recruit are looking for a RTA Solicitor / Litigation Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for a litigated caseload of Fast Track/ Multi Track Matters.
Although this role is predominantly handling a caseload of fast track/multi track RTA files, the hiring firm does provide retraining opportunities for standout candidates. for example, there will be opportunities to gain exposure and to develop in other areas of law such as Family and Immigration. this is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who wishes to broaden their legal expertise
The main tasks will include:
- Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations.
- Ensuring all KPIs and financial targets are met.
- Drafting proceedings at Court and undertaking all aspects of a litigated claim.
- Instructing Barristers to represent clients at hearings and obtain formal Advice over issues of quantum.
- Instructing Experts and liaising with third parties.
- Undertaking telephone Hearings and CMCs.
- Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ Claimant experience in running a litigated caseload.
- Strong litigation experience is a must. Multi Track experience is preferred, however very strong and technical fast track Fee earners are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.
- An understanding of the MOJ process.
- Have proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.
- Able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills.
- The ability to provide a high level of client care.
- Advocacy experience.
- Proficient with Proclaim Case Management, although training will be provided.
- Knowledge of relevant and recent case law concerning Credit Hire.
