A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to work at an RCVS accredited small animal practice based in the East Midlands where the main aim of the practice is to deliver exceptional veterinary care, treating every pet as a member of the family. Our client offers excellent facilities and a full range of veterinary services delivered by a team of compassionate and experienced professionals.
Your role will involve general nursing duties such as assisting veterinary surgeons with their medical/surgical duties including monitoring of anaesthesia, assistance with handling of patients, overall responsibility for nursing of in-patients under the direction of the veterinary surgeon and client care on all aspects of the work. The ideal candidate needs to have a friendly, positive attitude and would want to progress and expand their knowledge/skills further.
The practice is a fully equipped referral centre, including a separate operating theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy with access to MRI and CT scanner. The team currently consists of a lead vet supported by a head nurse one RVN, an SVN and four client care assistants. You will need to be RCVS registered, be committed to animal welfare and have excellent organisational skills.
The Role: •Full Time role 40 hours per week
•Only 1:6 weekends
