Purpose of Role
To join the McLaren Automotive Vehicle Electronics team responsible for the power supply systems for all McLaren vehicle platforms. Responsible for planning from the concept phase through to program launch for Power Supply systems.
Principal Accountabilities
- Agree and deliver program targets for the Body Electronics team.
- Support supplier commercial engagement and program delivery through the project.
- Lead all critical program activities for the Body Electronics team.
- Serve as the main point of contact to engage with the architecture team and project management to define and agree the Vehicle Electronics for all McLaren vehicle platforms.
- Work as part of a small team, reporting to the Principal Engineer - Body Electronics.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Electronics architecture experience for harness and power distribution design in an automotive environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical design and packaging for Power Supply systems.
- Experience of the Supplier Management process.
- Proven track-record of system/component design and delivery within automotive/aerospace/engineering.
- PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
- Experience EDS vehicle testing - Harness DVP and sign-off process.
- Experience of fault finding and Root Cause Analysis for EDS.
- Experience Test and integration of vehicle Electronics systems.
- Generation and approval of detailed specifications.
- Experience gained in Automotive OEM or tier one supplier.
- Lab car and mule development and POC activities
