Job description

Academics are currently in partnership with a Cheshire East secondary school (‘Good’ Ofsted rating) that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to cover temporarily a staff absence. This is a full time and short-term role (Monday 26th February 2024 - Friday 24th May 2024).

Ideally, for this role, you will have experience of teaching both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and you will have a clear focus on engaging the student’s interest in Geography.

Our client school is well known for its ambitious curriculum and welcoming nature. Our school is also proudly heavily involved in many activities across the local community.

Whether you have years of experience behind you, or you are at the early stages of your teaching career, this short term role offers a great environment to teach in.

For this particular teaching role, you will:

* Have the relevant Geography teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with an UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS). Applications for this role are also open to ECTs/NQTs/RQTs.
* Have strong behaviour management with excellent subject knowledge.
* Be able to adapt quickly within the academy and to be a good team player with staff.
* Deliver exciting and engaging Geography lessons using your own initiative.
* Have a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

For this particular role you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
