Second in Department - Economics/Business Studies at Cambourne Village College and Cambourne Sixth Form
To Start: 01 September 2024
Salary: MPS/UPS plus TLR2C £3,214 per annum. ECTs with relevant experience are welcome to apply
Contract: Full-time or Part-time
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Second in Department of Economics and Business to join our well-resourced and growing department from September 2024. The successful candidate will be able to lead A Level Economics or BTEC Extended Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in addition to being able to contribute to the teaching of our popular GCSE Business Studies course.
The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic and highly engaging teacher who can demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and will ensure students have high aspirations and achieve their best. All courses follow the AQA specification. The Economics and Business department is led by a highly qualified specialist; our GCSE Business course is over-subscribed, and results in KS4 are very strong. In addition to this highly supportive context, the Sixth Form benefits from strong working relationships with our sister centre, Comberton Village College, and colleagues work cross-Trust in the sharing of resources, and in curriculum planning and moderation. There is the potential for further TLR opportunities as the Sixth Form grows to full capacity.
