The Employer is: FEENY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION. A 25 hour post working with children & youth based in Feeny Community Centre assisting the delivery of programmes and projects aimed at supporting children & young people. The post holder would gain valuable skills and experience in design & implementation of programmes, organisational skills, budgeted skills and on completion of their 6 month placement. Post will include evening and weekend working. .

Responsibilities

• Design & implement age appropriate activities for children and young people.
• Supervision of children and young people within the centre and on away days.
• Preparing space for activities and clearing up after sessions.
• Research into and applying for funding to run programmes within the centre for children and young people in conjunction with our funding officer and management committee.
• To maintain the required level of confidentiality.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Able to work on own as well as a member of a team.
• IT Skills.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience within a young, childcare of community setting would be desirable (but not essential as training will be given).
• Knowledge of Child protection (Training will be given).
• First Aid.

The Employer is: FEENT COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION. Location: Feeny Community Association. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
