I am seeking a personal assistant to provide essential support with my physical disabilities and help improve the quality of my daily life. I am looking for a dedicated and compassionate personal assistant who can assist me with daily living activities, help me remain independent, and provide companionship to improve my wellbeing.
This post can be considered a job share between two PAs.
Location: NR26 (Sheringham)
Job Description:
Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and tailored meals according to the client's dietary needs and preferences.
Shopping: Assist with grocery shopping, ensuring that the household remains well-stocked and organized.
General Hygiene: Help the client maintain personal hygiene and grooming routines.
Laundry: Manage laundry tasks, including washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.
Medication and Prescriptions: Ensure the client's medication schedule is followed accurately and safely, including timely refills and dosage management.
Housework: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
Scheduling: Assist in organizing and scheduling appointments, activities, and outings, taking into consideration the client's interests and preferences.
Accompanying to Hospital or Doctor Appointments: Provide transportation and emotional support during medical appointments, ensuring the client's well-being and comfort.
Planning Trips Out: Plan and organize outings and activities that align with the client's interests, such as trips related to trains, IT skills, music, or karaoke.
Person specification
Essential:
Full UK driving license holder with appropriate business insurance cover.
The ideal candidate would require a calming, reassuring, Caring and Patience
The person I employ, must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy.
If this position requires any of the following, the employee will be required to complete free annual training:
Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.
Summary terms and conditions
The rate of pay for this position is £11.00 per hour.
Hours and times of work: 18 Hours per week Flexible, Time discussed further at interview.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
Free Care Skills training is provided to employed staff.
The post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
