Job description
We are looking for a Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager to join a fantastic company based in Romsey. You will be responsible for heading up the Purchasing & Supply Chain function including the strategic and day-to-day management of all planning of procurement and supply chain processes. This is a busy and varied role where you will have one direct report and will work closely with other department managers to ensure processes run smoothly. Within your role you will be required to build relationships at all levels and you must have a warm and approachable nature with an analytical mind! You will be responsible for forecasting to ensure that products are purchased at the right volume in order to fulfil orders as well as supplier and distributor management.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain / Purchasing professional to take on a fast paced and challenging role. You will be required to liaise with internal departments to ensure that customer orders are met as well as externally with suppliers.
Within this role, responsibilities will include:
Analysing and forecasting to ensure stock levels are optimised
Leading the supply chain within the business and developing and implementing a supply chain process improvement strategy
Managing Inventory levels
Reviewing and implementing logistic strategies
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced supply chain professional who has previous experience in a similar role. You will take ownership for the supply chain process and be confident managing supplier relationships. You will need to have proven negotiation skills as well as the ability to build relationships. Strong planning and analytical skills are essential so you must be an advanced Excel user.
