Our client seeks an Assistant Trust Manager to join their team. Role Profile: The Assistant Manager will be someone who has worked as a Senior Trust Officer / Administrator for some years either with the Company or with another similar organisation and during this time has developed not only an excellent technical and practical trust and company administration background, but has also demonstrated the ability to develop and assist others with the potential to take on a line management role. The Assistant Manager will administer a portfolio of clients in the same way that a Senior Administrator does and in addition will possess additional technical knowledge and a basic level of line management experience. The Assistant Manager will be given responsibility for a portfolio of clients and will be expected to know the affairs of those clients closely. They will maintain all of their clients' records including drafting minutes and correspondence, maintaining client due diligence and keeping all bank accounts reconciled and record all transactions. They will be responsible for dealing with matters of a complex nature with the need for less support and guidance. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for seeing that client funds are at all times managed effectively and efficiently and that all financial transactions are undertaken with the utmost attention to accuracy and detail. The Assistant Manager will be expected to establish a rapport with the client or the client's employees or agents wherever possible including investment managers, bankers, lawyers etc. and to communicate effectively by telephone, fax and letter; to accept instructions from clients and to undertake to fulfil those instructions subject to advice and assistance from superiors where appropriate. The Assistant Manager will be required to partake in face to face meetings with clients and/or intermediaries. Key Responsibilities: Advise and liaise with Administrators and Senior Administrators on all day-to-day matters coming within the scope of their daily duties. Advise and liaise with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on points of interest or concern in connection with technical issues, staff relationships, working practices etc. Monitor group receivables. Assist with the monitoring of group work in progress and pending jobs. Assist with group organisation and control of workflows - such as listing and monitoring the work to be done regarding preparation of annual accounts and associated deadlines, monitoring control lists for annual return preparation, AGMs, property insurance renewals, etc. - and work together with managers and partners with a view to seeing that this routine work is carried out in an orderly and timely fashion. Assist with monitoring of the quarterly billing requirements for the team. Monitor and assist Administrators, Officers and Senior Officers with a view to seeing that these members of staff are always fully and gainfully occupied. Undertake all administration on own portfolio. Maintain a good knowledge of company secretarial, compliance and anti-money laundering practice.
