I have a rare opportunity for a SENIOR CASE WORKER to join a PASSIONATE and COMMITTED team in Merthyr Tydfil within an ESTABLISHED , homelessness services organisation.

Working for a homelessness service organisation, you will be part of a team that cares about supporting the lives of people who are at risk of homelessness or have already become homeless. As a Senior Case Worker, you will be working with a small caseload of around 20 people, with a mixture of needs from simple advice regarding housing and benefits to signposting to other organisations that will be able to assist their situation. This is an incredibly rewarding role, with a great career progression

The organisation has close likes with the local authority housing team and you will be expecting to spend a minimum of 1 day working from their offices. As well as extensive travel within the Merthyr Tydfil area.

**Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's license**

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working with those at risk of becoming homeless, or within housing, benefits, or mental health services.

• Salary: £22, 321
• Location: Merthyr Tydfil
• Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)
• Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Managing a caseload of up to 20 individuals
• Developing good working relationships with Local Authorities
• Advising on benefits and other services to those at risk of homelessness
• Identify the needs of individuals and help overcome any barriers they may have

Requirements of Case Worker:

• The passion to REALLY make a difference in the lives of the people you support
• NVQ in Advice and Guidance (Desirable)
• Experience working with Homelessness, Benefits, and or mental health issues.
• Willing to travel within the local area.
