Acorns Children's Hospice are now looking for a Community Shop Manager Designate covering Worcestershire and Warwickshire Hours- 37.5 hours per week Salary- £22,425 to £23,009 per annum Location - Worcestershire and Warwickshire Benefits Employee discounts from leading retailers Employee gym discount scheme Bike-to-Work scheme Generous contribution to group personal pension plan or continuation of current NHS pension scheme NHS pension scheme life assurance or Acorns group life assurance scheme Discounted items from sports retailer Decathlon Opportunities to attend corporate fundraising events About the role We have ambitious plans for our charity shops over the coming year and we are planning to open new shops in the area - allowing us to raise more funds for the children and families who need us. As a Designate Manager, you won't have your own shop just yet, but we'll get you trained and ready for a brand new store. In the meantime, you'll support other shops in the local area by spending time with existing managers and covering shops. You'll make decisions about the quality of stock, levels of pricing and style of merchandising, You'll be leading a team of volunteers and inspiring them to grow donor sign-ups and process gift aid stock efficiently. This is a great way to reach out to children and families whilst making a difference within the community, you will be instrumental in making the charity shop a success acting as a face of the charity organization. About you You'll be be self-motivated, with an enthusiastic approach to work and have the willingness to take on new challenges, to learn, grow and develop within a role. You will remain resilient and curious, always seeking to understand and improve the shop experience for the customers. You will be charismatic making the shop a fun filled environment achieving positive outcomes and securing appropriate funding that supports our mission and values. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references.
