Job description
Oversees the daily work flow of the department acting as its support system, carries out the following:
- On a strategic level, Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures and improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
- Oversees the talent pool process to empower the existing workforce and work on succession plans across the divisions
- Develop learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
- Day to day work flow
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands and issues.
- Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures and improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
- Is responsible for the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyses trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talent.
- Develop learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and issues in accordance with company policy and maintains records.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
