Title: Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation Manager
Role: Contract
Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
Duration: 3 Months, with the view to be extended

Purpose of the Position:

The QMS Implementation Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation meets crucial ISO compliance deadlines. This includes achieving ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification by 30th June, ISO 9001 Quality Management Policy & Procedure certification by 30th September, and ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement Procedures certification by 31st December.

Key Responsibilities: The incumbent will conduct comprehensive reviews of the current status and collaborate with team members to achieve certification goals. Key tasks include overseeing the Quality Policy, QMS scope, and Management Review, liaising with external bodies, updating in-house systems, and addressing various aspects such as process control, training, risk assessment, change management, and customer satisfaction. Ad-hoc support to the document controller will also be provided.

Key Objectives:

ISO 14001 Certification (30th June): Collaborate with the ISO 14001 Lead and Project Manager to review, create, and implement processes and procedures for successful certification.

ISO 9001 Certification (30th September): Lead the ISO 9001 certification process with support from key staff members and the Project Manager, ensuring effective review, creation, and implementation of required processes.

ISO 20400 Certification (31st December): Lead the review, creation, and implementation of processes for ISO 20400 certification. Collaborate with the Procurement team to establish a new internal ISO Lead.

Skills & Requirements:

Experience in an ISO 9001 regulated Quality position with knowledge of manufacturing facilities.

Experience leading ISO 14001 implementation, and knowledge of ISO 20400.

Proficient in conducting internal audits.

Degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or equivalent, with relevant industrial experience.

Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, including high-level communication.

Determination to provide solutions for improving deadlines and generating efficiencies.

An analytical thinker capable of making robust decisions based on data.

Courage to challenge and speak up when faced with resistance.

Flexibility, multitasking ability, and ability to prioritize.

Experience in a manufacturing/engineering/construction environment.

Interest in renewable technologies, carbon reduction, environmental protection, engineering, and manufacturing.
