The Merchandising Operations team aim for at least 2-3 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role is based at Bracknell. The salary range for the role is £36,400 - £62,600 This role is a Permanent role An element of weekend working may be required. About the role As a Merchandise Planner you will be focused on creating, optimising and delivering plans for supplier ordering and stock replenishment which result in the right amount of stock, in the right place, at the right time, building on the demand forecasts. Planning activity is an integral part of the work of each Category Proposition Group, in order to deliver the trade plan, with direct impact on the delivery of key stock KPIs (availability, explained wastage, stock holding). Some of your key Responsibilities include: Optimising stock availability for all Food & Grocery customers to achieve sales category targets, whilst actively controlling the costs of wastage and working capital. Using insight from the Category Proposition Group and analysis of historical performance, plan all items for promotions, deals and events in order to achieve targets.
