Job description
The Best Connection are recruiting for a time served Glass Blower to provide support to our client based in Wallsend, Newcastle. This is a permanent position.
The role:
- Perform glassblowing tasks as directed and ensure that glassblowing standard operating, and quality procedures are adhered to
- Cleaning, preparation and cutting of quartz parts
- Manipulation of quartz tubing, rods and plates
- Quality control inspection
- Undertake training and development and provide support to Apprentices
The ideal candidate would have:
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- A good level of numeracy skills
- Be able to effectively organise working time to meet set priorities and deadlines
- Competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Skills in ERP systems like SAP to the level necessary to perform the expected duties of the role
Hours of work and Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am to 16:15pm Monday to Thursday; 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday
- £27,920.63 annual salary
- x1.5 OT rate and x2 Sunday rate
This is a permanent position.
