Job description

Job Title: Social Worker
Location: Hertfordshire
Starting Salary: £35,745 with the opportunity to progress to £39,186 pa (pro rata for part-time) - senior social worker - £40,221 with the opportunity to progress to £44,428 pa (pro rata for part-time) £1,000 welcome payment, relocation package and car lease schemes (terms apply).
Hours: Full Time, Part Time, Job Share and Flexible Hours available
Contract: Permanent and fixed term

Job Duties:

We are looking for social workers to join our older people, adult disability, integrated discharge service, Autism, safeguarding and connected lives gateway teams.

Newly qualified social workers:

If you have recently completed your social work degree, you'll be enrolled onto our assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE) programme, with all the benefits and support available for a newly Qualified Social Worker.

Senior social workers will:

be a qualified, registered social worker who has successfully completed an ASYE program and is working to the Social Work England professional standards
actively undertake a specialist role e.g., AMHP, Practice Educator, Moving & Handling, Housing solutions lead or equivalent, or agreement to undertake at least one of these roles within the first year
work at the required level of the professional capabilities’ framework.

Fixed Term and/or Secondment: This is a Fixed Term or Secondment vacancy. If you work for HCC or any other Local Authority and would like to be considered as a Secondment contract, please ensure you complete the attached Secondment Form as part of your application. Driving Roles Only: As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences either using your own mode of transport or a company car. In light of this, the ability to drive and/or travel around the County is required for this role a DVLA check will be required on appointment.
