About The Role
As an IT Infrastructure and Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our organization's IT systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure while proactively managing and enhancing the security posture. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure components, network architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.

Position Overview:
As an IT Infrastructure and Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our organization's IT systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure while proactively managing and enhancing the security posture. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure components, network architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, storage, and other critical infrastructure components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system functionality and enhance overall IT operations.
Security Oversight:
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard the organization's data and IT assets.
Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and address potential threats.
Monitor security alerts and incidents, respond to security breaches, and coordinate incident response activities.
Network Security:
Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other network security technologies.
Design and maintain secure network architecture, including VPNs, VLANs, and other technologies to protect sensitive information.
Stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve network security.
Identity and Access Management:
Administer and enhance identity and access management systems to ensure proper authentication and authorization controls.
Implement and manage multi-factor authentication and single sign-on solutions to strengthen access security.
Security Awareness and Training:
Develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
Provide training on security best practices, policies, and procedures to staff members.
Qualifications:
Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT infrastructure management and cybersecurity roles.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security architecture, and infrastructure components.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNP are highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
